Willa Webber singing/playing Irena Sendler

November 4th and 5th, 2018 Willa is playing and singing the feature role in the new musical/opera "Irena Sendler", composed by Megan Cavallari in Temple Beth Emanuel in Beverly Hills, LA.

Irena Sendler was a Roman Catholic Polish social worker who saved 2,500 Jewish children and infants from the Warsaw Ghetto during the Holocaust - the most people saved by a non-diplomat individual. She taught them Catholic prayers and made false identities for each child, keeping their real names on lists in jars buried in her neighbor's backyard. As head of the children's section of Zegota (the Polish Council to Aid Jews), she was eventually captured, tortured, and sentenced to death for her actions - but managed to escape. She survived the war, and died in Poland at the age of 98 in 2008.

Take a Breath (Berlin Mix)

My new song Take a Breath (Berlin Mix), arranged by German film music producer Tom Leonhardt. I wrote this uplifting Peace Song together with Jonathan McHugh. It is an encouragement to stay open-minded, positive and grateful.
